2024 Ga Homowo health walk ends on a high note

The 2024 edition of the Ga Homowo health walk, organized by the Okintin Klan in collaboration with the Ga Traditional Council and supported by Bills Microfinance, came to a successful end on Saturday, August 3, 2024.

The event, which aimed to promote peace and unity among Ghanaians ahead of this year's festival and elections, attracted over 3000 participants who walked through the major principal streets in Accra.

The health walk, proudly sponsored by Bills Microfinance, started at the "Mantse Agbonaa" and finished at Akoto Lante, and saw both political and traditional rulers within the Ga state in attendance.

The event served as a platform to preach peace and unity, with participants singing songs of harmony and togetherness.

Nuumo Nikoi Amasah (II) of the Okintin Klan expressed his satisfaction over the successful end of the event, stating, "We are thrilled to see Ghanaians from all walks of life come together to promote peace and unity. As we approach the elections this year, it is crucial that we preach peace and unity, and this health walk has set the tone for a harmonious and peaceful celebration of the Ga Homowo festival."
