The recent announcement by Ghana's Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, to reintroduce road and bridge tolls in 2025 has sparked intense debate among citizens.

The move, aimed at boosting infrastructure funding and management, has received mixed reactions from Ghanaians.

Presenting the 2024 Mid-Year Budget Review in Parliament, Dr. Amin Adam explained that Cabinet has also granted approval for the disbursement of an additional GHC1.5 billion to settle outstanding claims relating to financial management companies and the establishment of a framework for the re-introduction of Road and Bridge Tolls in 2025.

GhanaWeb TV hit the streets to find out how citizens feel about the reintroduction of road and bridge tolls in 2025.

While some saw it as a necessary measure to improve infrastructure funding and management, others expressed concerns that the move would only increase the financial burden on citizens.
