Accra, May 16, GNA - The 31st December Women's Movement on Tuesday urged women to forge ahead to ensure the total advancement of all women in all spheres of life.
A statement signed by Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, President of the Movement, to mark their 24th anniversary, said the day marked the moment when "dynamic women" resolved never to be left behind but be part of the decision-making process of the country.
"Women then resolved to advance their cause politically, socially, economically and culturally whilst supporting the national reconstruction effort."
The statement said due to the hard work of women, many of them were now in the forefront of political, economic and social activities. "Our hard work has created an awareness, which has resulted in the desire of every political party to put women in the forefront of its activities.
"This should be enough motivation to spur us on to remain undaunted, untied and strengthened, in the face of all the trials and tribulations that we have faced in recent times, to forge ahead with our aims and objectives to ensure the total advancement of all women in all spheres of Ghanaian life."
