Four (4) persons have been picked up by cops after a pump action gun and two shotguns belonging to Kumasi Academy went missing from a storeroom in the school.
Sources in the school told XYZ News that the missing weapons were left in the care of a store keeper in the school.
The source also revealed that the store keeper who had visited the store room realized that, the weapons, all belonging to the school could not be found and efforts to trace them proved futile.
XYZ News understands that the four suspects including the store keeper have since been arrested and detained assisting police in investigations.
School authorities and the police have remained tight-lipped over the development but the development has since raised security concerns in the school and in the area as well.
The Kumasi Academy was in the news in December last year following multiple deaths of students some of which were later linked to H1 N1 influenza.
