As Ghana’s former Vice President Papa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur begins his journey to eternal rest today, 3news.com takes you on a pictorial trip down memory lane of the man whose life was cut short on June 29, 2018.

Born William Edmond Davidson Amissah-Arthur on April 29, 1951, he started using the name Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, which was his ‘home name’, while in school at the University of Ghana.

He was an economist, academician and a politician for the 67 years he lived on this earth.

Amissah-Arthur died on June 29, 2018, after he collapsed at the Airforce Gym in Accra during a workout session.

A burial service will be held at the forecourt of the State House the following day, Friday, July 27, 2018.

Several NDC bigwigs including the Ahwoi brothers, Kofi Totobi Kwakwe as well as many other Ghanaians all thronged the AICC to view the remains of Amissah-Arthur.

He is expected to be buried at the military cemetery in Accra.

A memorial service will also be held at the Calvary Methodist Church, Adabraka in Accra on Sunday, July 29, 2018, from 7:30 am to 9:00 am.
