60% of Ghanaians believe in my commitment to fight corruption - Akufo-Addo

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is doing a great job at the fight against corruption, according to President Nana Akufo-Addo-Addo.

According to the Ghanaian President regardless of the attempt by political opponents to brand his government as corrupt, he has shown 100% commitment at fighting the canker.

He told NPP supporters in Canada that, he has shown by deeds in the fight against corruption and not by words.

"It therefore, does not come as a surprise that, in the Global Corruption Barometer, conducted by Transparency International and Afrobarometer, 60% of Ghanaians, in 2019, believe government is doing a good job at fighting corruption, as opposed to 25% in 2015," the President told Ghanaians in Canada.

Akufo-Addo said Ghana has also been projected by the IMF, to be the fastest-growing economy in the entire world, with a projected GDP growth rate of 8.8%.

He opined all macroeconomic indices are pointing in the right direction, stressing that it comes as no surprise, therefore, that, today, Ghana is the leading recipient of foreign direct investment in West Africa.

President Akufo-Addo added that only hard work, innovation, creativity can move Ghana to the next level and produce wealth for Ghanaians.
