9.6 Million Cedis Market Commissioned At Sefwi Boako

A 9.6 million-cedi market for the people of Sefwi Boako in the Sefwi Wiawso District built by the European Union has been commissioned. Mr. Christian Adu Atiemo, the District Coordinating Director, commended the people for their self-help spirit. He advised traders to pay their tolls and other levies promptly to help the district assembly develop the market. Mr. Atiemo said 10 new market stores and 24 market stalls would be constructed by the EU at an estimated cost of 37 million cedis. The assemblyman for the area, Mr. Ofori Agyemang, commended the district assembly and the EU for providing them with the market. He appealed to the people to assist the assembly in the collection of levies to enable it to provide them with their basic amenities. He also advised them to keep their environment clean to avoid the outbreak of diseases. The unit committee chairman, Mr. T.Y. Kwarteng, appealed to the assembly to provide a KVIP and borehole at the market.
