Dearly beloved Ghanaians,

As we stand at the threshold of the New Year, I bring to you warm greetings and Blessings of God from the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana.

Firstly, we give thanks to the Almighty God for seeing us through the past year, and we pray for His direction, guidance, leadership, wisdom, and protection in the year ahead. As we begin this New Year our nation has just witnessed a significant transition of political power. This change presents us with a unique opportunity to reflect on our past, learn from our mistakes, and forge a new path towards a brighter future we all desire.

As a people of faith, we are reminded that "the Lord is doing a new thing" (Isaiah 43:19). Let us, therefore, approach this New Year with a sense of hope, and renewal of our attitude to work and expectations. Let us not dwell on the criticisms and challenges of the past, but rather, let us learn from the successes and setbacks of the previous administration. While embark on this new journey of hope, I urge our new leaders to build upon the foundation laid by their predecessors, learn from the mistakes of the past, implement measures to correct them with integrity, and replicate the successes and good initiatives that have benefited our nation.

To our citizens, I encourage you to hold your leaders accountable, but also to support them with good ideas, prayers, wisdom, and constructive feedback. Let us work together to build a nation that is just, equitable, and prosperous for all.

As we navigate the complexities of our national life, let us remember that we are all in this together. Let us strive to be good citizens, and caring neighbors, to love one another, and to seek the common good of communities. May we be guided by the principles of justice, equity, accountability, compassion, and righteousness. May we be a nation that fears and loves God, honors His word, and seeks His wisdom in all we do.

I conclude with a prayer from Psalm 127:1-2: "Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain." let us seek the blessings of God and His presence to be with us Ghanaians as we move forward in 2025 and beyond. May God bless our nation Ghana, and may He guide us into a brighter future.

Happy New Year, a blessed new you, my dear Ghanaians! Peace and Blessings to us all.
