A message from Nana Akufo Addo

My fellow Ghanaians:

I would like to thank the thousands of Ghanaians in the Diaspora who joined me on August 2 in an online conversation at [http://www.akufoaddo.org] www.akufoaddo.org, even though we experienced some technical difficulties. It was a fruitful conversation about the future of Ghana and I profoundly understand the concerns expressed by the participants. This conversation will continue as the nation heads to the polls in December 2008. For those of you who were unable to participate in the conversation, the video is on our website for your viewing pleasure.

The choice Ghanaians will face in December is very clear. It will be a choice between the previous government that ruled by fear and intimidation, or the NPP government that has restored human dignity, prosperity and self-respect among Ghanaians.

Ghanaians will decide to continue with the NPP government's sound economic policies that have created the School Feeding Programme, Free Bus Programme for School Children, the Capitation Grant to fund higher education, the National Health Insurance Scheme and the National Youth Employment Programme.

An Akufo-Addo administration will continue to strengthen these economic programs and protect individual freedom to fulfill its sacred commitment and duty to Ghanaians.

But these noble deeds and aspirations will only be possible with a solid victory in December against a very determined opponent.

That is why I am appealing to you to help us reach our goal of 200,000 grassroots contributors by September by sending our campaign [http://www.akufoaddo.org/donate] $15, [http://www.akufoaddo.org/donate] $25, [http://www.akufoaddo.org/donate] $50 or whatever you can afford today. You can contribute online at: [http://www.akufoaddo.org/donate] www.akufoaddo.org/donate where we have several payment options ranging from Credit Card, Paypal, Money orders, Bank wires to Western Union.

You can also help our campaign by forwarding this message to at least five friends.

We can and must succeed.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

Nana Akufo-Addo
