The Osu Branch of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) has presented a lap top and a projector to the Ghana National Fire Service Training School to effectively aide in the education and skills training of the general public in combating and preventing disasters.

Making the presentation, the Acting Osu Branch Manager, Mr. Emmanuel Kow Kumi said the bank has enjoyed a good working relationship with the Ghana National Fire Service School, hence the need to respond to their request for the laptop and projector.

“We know the significant role the Fire Service plays in our society and with the recent fire outbreaks in the country, it is our hope that this equipment will assist the Service in educating the general public on fire prevention,” he said.

Mrs. Lily Iris Gbeve, Zonal Head, encouraged the facilitators of the school not to relent in their effort to give off their best. She also assured them that the bank is willing to continue doing business with the service and even improve on it with better services and tailored products.

The Commandant of the Ghana National Fire Service Training School, Mr. Bernard Korsah, thanked the bank for responding to their appeal for the laptop and projector and indicated that it had been a need of the school for several years.

On behalf of his colleagues, Mr. Korsah expressed their utmost appreciation to the bank for the kind gesture and expressed optimism that the equipment will assist them in equipping trainees with the rightful skills in the discharge of their duties to the general public.
