The African Burial Ground

The burial ground, which is one quarter of an acre, is believed to contain the remains of as many as 10,000 African slaves. The burial ground, discovered a decade ago, is recognized as one of the nation's most significant archaeological finds of the last century. Ghana was a key port in the notorious slave trade triangle.
