Deputy Attorney General, Joseph Kpemka Dindiok has revealed that the Attorney General’s-Department has begun reviewing the Chief Justice’s Committee report in order to establish whether or not the dismissed Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, (EC) and her two deputies can be prosecuted.
The Chairperson of the EC, Mrs Charlotte Osei and her two deputies, Amadu Sulley and Georgina Opoku Amankwah were sacked from office by President Akufo Addo on Thursday largely for breaching procurement laws.
There have been several calls from a section of the public on government to prosecute the former senior officials of the country’s Electoral Management Body.
However speaking to Joy FM, Hon. Joseph Kpemka Dindiok government can only prosecute them if the AG’s office is able to establish concrete evidence of wrongdoing against the trio.
