Accra, April 11, GNA - The Association of Health Services Administrators, Ghana (AHSAG) on Wednesday expressed regret at the murder of Mr Anthony Yeboah Boateng, Administrator of Goaso Government Hospital.
"We, of AHSAG, consider this cold blooded murder of Mr Boateng as the worst form of savagery man could commit against his fellow man, and a dastardly act, for which reason it should be condemned in no uncertain terms."
A statement signed by Augustine Yaw Boamah, President of AHSAG, said the dastardly and gruesome murder clearly epitomized the level of indiscipline in the society for which the law enforcement agencies must take proactive measures to check.
AHSAG commended the Goaso Divisional Police for the arrest of 16 people alleged to be involved in the killing and called upon them to act with dispatch to bring the perpetrators of the heinous crime to face the full rigours of the law.
"While condemning this killing, we wish to unequivocally state, however, that we were quite relieved by the news in the Daily Graphic issue of Wednesday April 11, 2007 that the Goaso Divisional Police Command had arrested 16 people for their alleged involvement in the barbaric act", it stated.
AHSAG expressed its condolences to the bereaved family and the entire fraternity of Health Service.
Mr Boateng, Administrator, Goaso Government Hospital was on Sunday April 8 murdered by a group of young men of Atronie in the Brong Ahafo Region on suspicion that he was part of a criminal gang involved in alleged serial killing in the area.
