A member of the council of State, Kpetekple Narh Ologo, has addressed a durbar at Akropong to round off this year's Odwira festival of the people of Akuapem. He warned the youth against acts that are divisive and disruptive because they too can be blamed for the disunity and lack of progress that will face the country. He commended the citizens of Akuapem, resident abroad, for their contribution to the efforts of those at home for the development of Akuapem. The Eastern Regional Minister, Miss Patience Adow, urged the people to continue to use the Odwira as a rolling point to initiate self-help projects to complement the efforts of the government. She called on parents, community leaders and youth clubs to lead the youth in the right direction by inculcation in them good morals, values and self-discipline so that they channel their energies into productive activities. The Okuapehene,Osadeeye Addo Dankwa, reminded chiefs in Akuapem that they are under moral obligation to fulfill their promise to their people to keep Akuapem united. He said the show of concern by the youth of Akuapem regarding the state of affairs in Akuapem is understandable because they do not want to take over a heritage that has been dismantled. Osadeeye Addo Dankwa called for the rehabilitation of the water and electricity systems in Akropong to give the people better service. End
