The Amasachina Self-Help Association has signed a 20,000 dollar contract with the Centre for Development and Population Activities which is based in Washington, the United States. They will embark on a pilot project that involves the mobilization of communities for enhanced Reproductive care and Primary Health Care. The Executive Secretary of the Association, Mr.. Issah Salifu, said in Tamale on 20 October that the project will provide health education and family planning assistance to under privileged communities in the Northern Region. He disclosed that Amasachina's Community-based distributors have been undertaking family planning activities in the region, since 1992. Mr.. Salifu hoped the pilot project would enrich their skills through intensive training. End
