In line with Section 11 of the Presidential Office Act (Act 463), 1993, I submit, herewith, Annual Report on the following staffing positions of the Office of the President for your information and necessary action:-
a) the number of Presidential Staff employed at the Office of the President;
b) the rank and grade of such staff; and
c) employees in the other Public Services assigned to the Office.
There were, in all, thirteen (13) Presidential Staffers at post as at 31st December, 1996, vide Appendix 'A' attached. The rank or grades of such staff are indicated against their names in the schedule.
Employees in other Public Services assigned to the Office include Civil Servants in their various classes (i.e. Administrative, Executive/Clerical, Secretarial, Supply Management and Stores Inspectorate Staff, Treasury), Audit, Medical Staff etc. as shown in Appendix 'B'.
In addition, there were a total of 524 employees as categorized in Appendix 'C'.
