AUCC appoints director for new school of Creative Arts

The African University College of Communications (AUCC) has appointed Dr. Kwesi Owusu of Creative Storm fame as the Director of the Creative Arts School.

Dr. Owusu brings on board rich experiences in the creative writing, film producing, music director, poet, Author into this newest school by AUCC. The School of Creative Arts begins the third phase of AUCC’s growth as a professional tertiary institution of relevance in a changing world.

The School of Creative Arts will run Certificate, Diploma and Degree Courses in Creative courses including Website Design, Brand Design and Identity, Architectural Computer Aided Design, Fashion Design, Film & Video Design, 3D Computer Animation & Modeling, and Film/Television Production.

The School of Creative Arts begins the third phase of AUCC’s growth as a professional tertiary institution of relevance in a changing world. The school is the first of its kind in Ghana and promises to specialize in skills development geared towards the creative job market as well as inspire critical thinking and innovation.

AUCC has been rated as a center of excellence in Media and Communication Studies by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

There will be a Launch Reception for the new school on Wednesday 17 October 2018 at AUCC, Discovery House on the Jones Nelson Street, Adabraka.

It will be attended by stakeholders in the creative Arts Industries, artists and the media.
