As part of activities to wrap up a good year, members of staff of Abii National Savings and Loans Limited, has donated GH? 3,000.00 to the Lighthouse Christian Orphanage Home at Aburi in the Eastern Region.

A statement issued by Mr Bennet Ashie, Head of Corporate Affairs of the company told Ghana News Agency on Thursday, that the donation forms part of the corporate entities social responsibility programmes for the year on the broad theme: “Health for all and true care for the needy.”

The main aim of the donation, according to officials of the company, is to put a smile on the faces of the less privileged in the society.

Making the presentation on behalf of the company, Mr Ashie said the funds were generated through a special free-will offertory conducted for members of staff from the 11 branches across the country; as well as the Head office in Accra.

Mr Ashie said he was thrilled about the enthusiasm of the staff members to the noble course; adding that it showed their eagerness to give back to the society.

He challenged everybody to continually give to the less privileged in the society in order to ensure that there is health for all and true care for the needy.

Mr Ashie said the move is to help the children in the orphanage to believe in themselves and remain confident that something good could come out of them.

He advised the children to remain steadfast to the things of God and allow good values of respect and love to guide them in order to become responsible citizens.

Lady Pastor Gloria, the Administrator of the Orphanage said she accept the kind gesture with great delight.

She said the more than 20 children in the orphanage were absolutely thrilled by the donation and the funds would go a long way to assist with their upkeep.
