The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has listed some state assets, including lands and other properties, his exposés have ‘saved’.

The MP, whose recent exposé on the sale of 60% shares of four hotels of the state-owned Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) to Rock City Hotel Limited, which belongs to the Minister for Food and Agriculture, led to public outcries and the eventual cancellation of the deal, listed 12 state assets his exposés have saved.

The properties he listed include the Nigerian High Commission land, the four SSNIT hotels, lands belonging to the Parks and Gardens department, and Airport lands, among others.

Ablakwa, in a post shared on Monday, July 15, 2024, said that this was just the beginning of efforts to reclaim all of the properties of the state that have been supposedly stolen.

“This is just the beginning — may these modest gains inspire us not to give up until we have reclaimed the rest.

“We are indeed capable of defeating State Capture,” he wrote.

Below are the assets listed by the MP:

1. Land belonging to the Nigerian High Commission after a midnight demolition operation by faceless elements;

2. Land belonging to the Bulgarian Embassy after another clandestine demolition by top Akufo-Addo/Bawumia political appointees;

3. Parks and Gardens Land in Cantonments;

4. Parks and Gardens Land in Wa;
