Aspiring Parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Media Practitioner, Jefferson Kwamina Sackey, has launched his campaign in the Ablekuma Central Constituency.

He expressed optimism about winning the election to represent the party in the 2024 general elections.

With a firm pledge to deliver and a promise not to fail if elected into office, Mr. Sackey has urged party members to work harder than ever before. He aims to enable the party to secure a third term and break the eight-year political jinx to make history.

During a media briefing, the Member of Parliament (MP) announced that he had provided interest-free loans to members of his constituency's women's group. He stated that by doing so, he had created employment opportunities that supported the youth, generated revenue through taxes for national development, and allowed the women's group to have funds for their projects.

Sackey has already allocated around ₵100,000 as soft loans to NPP supporters, especially women in the constituency.

The loan, which ranges from ₵500 to ₵1000, will be interest-free. It aims to provide financial empowerment to women in the constituency.

As a history-making party in Ghana’s politics, he said the party launch will provide the opportunity to conduct an effective and efficient political campaign leading up to the December polls to secure power.

The NPP parliamentary candidate said that although some Ghanaians and political observers did not believe that the NPP had a chance to break the 'eight', the party would ensure that it does.
