Madam Martha Abasia stressed that Mr Abuga Pele was a unifier and the only person, who can bring the divided factions in the constituency together. "He is lovable and compassionate and that even though he lost the se= at in 2008 he was still paying school fees for some students in the constituency and does not discriminate."

According to the spokesperson of the Kandiga Youth, Mr Erick Addenama through the National Youth Employment Programme (NYEP), majority of the youth, who have migrated to the southern sector in search of non-existence jobs have been engaged. The aged in the area have also been engaged as watchmen and they are able to provide livelihoods for their families. Addressing the constituents, who were shouting 93No Abuga, No Vote"= , after he picked the form, Mr Abuga Pele assured the people that he would serve them to the best of his abilities and mentioned some development projects he would embark on, including education, health and agriculture fo= r the constituency, if he is given the nod.

"'I was only on a temporary leave and I ha ve returned to take my s= eat and I am very confident that I am going to win the seat"' He dispelled rumours that he has lost his popularity in the constituency. He said the party lost the seat in 2008 to the NPP because of the misunderstanding between him and Mr Rudolf Amenge-Etego, a member of the Party, who went as an Independent Candidate, saying that, the leadership of the party was working to solve the problem.

Mr James Kodjo Kupanamo, Constituency Chairman, said the Constituency Executives were 93creating a level field for all the Candidates who would be contesting and entreated them to place the interest of the party as paramount. "The party cannot afford to lose the seat this time to the NPP and everything must be done to ensure that were we win the seat." he added. Mr William Akanyele, Constituency Secretary, entreated the candidates to go organise their campaign without insults since that would not be a healthy development for the party.
