In a quest to relive a bit of their fun days in school, the 1993 Year Group of Achimota Old Students Association having begun the day with a presentation of some refurbished offices and archives to their alma mater decided to wind down with the annual ritual of a bonfire night at the clubhouse on the schools premises.

The night started off with a mass torch procession by both current and students of the Achimota School around the school after which they converged at the school’s Clubhouse to light up the prepared bonfire.

Music and dancing and the small chats were sure ways to catch up and reminisce their 'good old days in the Achimotan edifice as well as the various dormitories in the houses".

After the introduction and hailing of the 1993 Year Group which organised the successful 25th anniversary celebration, a role call was done creating a nostalgic atmosphere for the old students who may have forgotten some of the trending nicknames in their era.

Earlier in the day, Friday March 2, some executives of the group supported by some of their members commissioned the refurbished general office and digital archiving system for the school.

Antoinette Kwofie, President of the group, said they chose to build a digital system that would make it easier for the school authorities to store and retrieve records, instead of the current manual system, which takes a long time to get records when needed.

Recounting some memorable days in the high school, former Starr FM Morning Show host and Private Legal Practitioner, Robert Nii Arday Clegg was ecstatic about his tutors from back in the day and how the experiences had shaped his life.

He further went on to state that “maybe even when I die they should bury me in an Achimotan casket”.

To cap it all for the exciting night amiable and feisty dancehall artist MzVee mounted the stage to unleash some dazzling performances of her hit songs.
