The elimination contests of the Ashanti Regional Inter-schools Acme Quiz Competition began today at Prempeh College as 21 schools in Zone one battled for a spot in the semi-finals of the competition.
It was a very competitive contest as the schools were grouped in three batches for three different contests in their bid to secure one of the four qualifying tickets available for the zone to the semi-finals.
In the end Kumasi Girls were the surprise package as they dazzled all the schools with amazing display of academic prowess in English Language, Social Studies, Current Affairs and Multimedia.
Adu Gyamfi SHS also secured qualification in an exciting fashion.
Nyinahin Catholic SHS surprised everyone by qualifying to the semi-finals in an an exciting way.
