Sunyani, Dec. 1, GNA - Mr. Justice Samuel Adjei, an activist of the National Democratic Party NDC) has declared his intention to contest for the position of Brong Ahafo Regional Secretary.
He said in a press statement the party needed a very committed and open-minded Secretary and he could explore ideas to redirect the fortunes of the party.
"NDC in the region needs a person who is capable of developing strategic structures from a unique perspective that serves the poor, fulfils social missions and provides valuable community service", Mr.Adjei stated.
He said having served as the first Deputy Youth Organizer and Northern Sector Coordinator for Tertiary Education Institutional Network (TEIN) of the party, he possessed the qualities to help "formulate formidable, useful and vibrant policies and programmes that resonate among voters in the region to respond to the seeming clamour for change".
Mr. Adjei called on members and supporters of the party, especially the delegates, to consider the crucial issues affecting the party and vote for him to help address such issues.
He expressed concern about politicians who enticed the electorate to vote one way, which was retarding the growth of our infant democracy. The statement appealed to the delegates "to critically analyze and appreciate the reasoning behind my intention to contest for the position to assist in putting our priorities right for the first time in order to enhance prospects for election victory in 2008".
