Activities in Chicagoland this Weekend

October 09 2015, Chicago Illinois: The following are some of the social activities lined up tomorrow, October 10, 2015 in the Ghanaian community here. They are:



Outdooring and First Birthday Celebrations

Mr. and Mrs. Boateng Ahyia invite friends, family members and well-wishers to join them in outdooring and celebrate the first birthday of their son, Barimah Yaw Boateng Ahyiah. Mrs. Boateng Ahyiah, formerly known as Josephine Ahyiah, aka, Lady Jo, served in the Ghana National Council as the Business Manager some years back. The event will take place at the Wildberry Club House, 220 Green Knoll Lane, Streamwood, IL 60107 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. All well-wishers and friends are kindly invited.



Celebration of Life

Ernest Bugyei, former Youth Secretary of the GNC lost his mother, Madam Afua Atta Bugyei, a few months ago in Ghana. Mr. Bugyei has scheduled a Traditional Funeral Gathering "Ntenasie" and Final Funeral Rites at his residence, 9116 South Euclid Avenue, Chicago IL, 60617. The event starts at 12:00 p.m and ends at 1:00 am.

All sympathizers are cordially invited.



Fundraising in support of Atta Papafio.

Attah Papafio is the brother of Mr. Boafo Papafio, aka Mayor. Atta Papafio has undergone many medical procedures and hospitalizations. The community is therefore invited to help raise funds to support him and also to help defray some of the medical expenses.

The event will take place at the St. Margaret Church, 2555 E 73rd Street, Chicago IL 60649. The event starts at 9: 00 pm and ends at 2:00 am.
