President John Agyekum Kufuor in consultation with the Council of State has appointed Mr F.W. Addo-Ashong, a Forester as the Chairman of the Forestry Commission.

A statement issued in Accra on Sunday and signed by Mr E.O. Anim-Mantey, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Lands and Forestry, said the appointment takes immediate effect.
