Adenta residents to receive free eye screening

It is certainly an exciting time for residents of Adenta and its surrounding communities!

On Saturday 25th March 2017, Ghanaian owned fashion brand, Aba & Thursday in collaboration with Becks Optical Services will organize a free eye screening exercise at the Fountain Gate Chapel, located at Adenta Commandos.

Apart from the eye screening, the qualified Optometrist will also educate the public on eye diseases including glaucoma, cataract, prevention of high blood pressure and many more. In addition, there will be designer frames and sunglasses to be sold at discounted prices.

According to organizers, all is set for the event and they are expecting hundreds of people to show up with their families to receive free eye care during the event which is scheduled to commence at 10am and ends at 6pm.

Ms. Christabel Osei Aku, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aba & Thursday expressed her excitement about the exercise and revealed her organization’s motivation for partnering with Becks Optical Services to initiating this campaign. “One of the major things that people can do to create wealth for themselves, is to adopt to sound health practices that would keep them in good health. With a perfect condition of health, an individual can work hard to improve his or her standard of living. As part of our corporate social investments, we thought it wise to create the opportunity for people to know the health status of their eyes and also get information on how to deal with their eyes”, she said.

On her part, the Chief Executive Officer of Becks Optical Services, Ms. Rebecca Esenam Amenu said that “it is important for people to know the health status of their eyes and we are giving them the opportunity to do that. In addition to the free eye screening, we are also proving designer frames and sunglasses to people at very affordable prices to ensure that we are able to help them with their eye illness”.

Ms. Amenu urged people living in Adenta and its surrounding communities to come out in their numbers to take advantage of the exercise to know the health condition of their eyes and get solution to them.
