Asamankese (E/R), Dec. 15, GNA – The people of Adiembra Number Two in the West Akim Municipality of the Eastern Region, have installed Baffour Yentumi Ampofo II as Odikro of the town.
The 59-year-old woman, known in private life as Mrs. Salomey Oparebea, is a contractor and a baker.
She swore the oath of allegiance and secrecy to Baffour Obeng Awuakye, Wirempemhene, who represented Osabarima Kwaku Awuah III, chief of Asamankese.
Baffour Ampofo said she would woo investors to engage in agriculture and other economic activities in the area to create employment for the people, to improve their living conditions.
The Odikro appealed to the people to support her to provide a clinic, potable water, schools, toilets, and to repair roads to facilitate economic activities.
Baffour Yentumi asked the Assembly to initiate more development projects in the community.
Baffour Awuakye advised the Odikro unite the people for development.
