Adjiri Blankson meets party executives

Former Mayor of Accra, Stanley Nii Adjiri Blankson on Tuesday hosted executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Odododiodioo Constituency.

The group, comprising both old and newly-elected executives of the constituency, who were led by newly-elected constituency Chairman, Raymond Tetteh travelled to the Dansoman residence of the former mayor to introduce themselves to him.

Mr Adjiri Blankson gave them a warm reception and advised them to bury their differences and forge ahead in the interest of the party in the 2016 general elections.

This, he said, was because the battle ahead is greater than what they fought.

He asked those who won to be magnanimous in their celebration and wished the losers luck next time.

“I want to see a situation whereby people will learn from Odododiodioo. I want to see a united Odododiodioo, he said, and pledged unflinching support for the constituency exdecutives.

He also tasked them to work as a team to recapture power from the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The former mayor expressed confidence in the 2012 presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, noting that the party would wrestle power from current administration.

Mr Adjiri Blankson paid glowing tribute to a departed member of the party, one Dennis Brown, who passed away while the former mayor was oversees, praying that the good lord would grant him rest.

On his part, Raymond Tetteh, newly-elected constituency chairman, who until recently was the Secretary, on behalf of his colleagues, thanked the former mayor for his words of encouragement and assurance.

He stressed the need for both old and new executives to unite to help deliver the much anticipated victory in 2016, saying “my doors are opened to everybody.”
