The Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, will on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, provide an update on the state of education in Ghana at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The event is expected to attract stakeholders from across the education sector and will showcase the significant progress made since President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo took office.

Dr. Adutwum will address several key issues, including the flagship Free Senior High School policy, new bills and policies, the physical transformation of schools nationwide, and curriculum improvements such as the Standard-Based Curriculum, Secondary Curriculum, and STEM Curriculum.

In his presentation, Dr. Adutwum is expected to use evidence-based communication, including pictures, short videos, and charts, to highlight the government's achievements and ongoing efforts to train 21st-century graduates.

This approach is aimed at igniting national discussions and providing stakeholders with first-hand information on various innovations, interventions, policies, and initiatives introduced under President Akufo-Addo's leadership.

Since coming to power in 2017, the government has made education development a major priority, consistently allocating substantial budgets to ensure that all Ghanaian children, regardless of location, ethnic background, religion, or financial status, have access to quality, relevant, and equitable education from kindergarten to senior high school.

The training of the right manpower is considered critical for the transformation of the economy.
