A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kakra Essamuah has encouraged the Chairman of the Electoral Commission Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan to take the opportunity to redeem his image in the ongoing election petition case at the Supreme Court.
He says the EC boss can do this by mounting the witness box and testifying to defend the commission’s case that the elections were credible.
According Mr. Essamuah, the EC chairman has been bastardized and denigrated by his critics to the point that he must redeem his enviable credibility by mounting the witness box to prove that he is competent and conducted a credible election in December.
He told TV3 in Accra that “(the EC boss) has a patriotic duty to defend his record as Afari-Gyan. In my opinion he has done his job very well. I think it is his patriotic duty to prove to us that he is worth the trust that we have put in him”
