Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, Greater Accra Regional Minister, has filed his nomination document to contest the National Democratic Congress (NDC)' Kpone-Katamanso Constituency parliamentary primaries.

Mr Afotey Agbo, who is the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Constituency, is seeking the nod to contest the seat for the fourth time.

The filing took place at the party's Constituency office at Kpone amidst fanfare from supporters who thronged the place clad in his customized tee-shirt to give him support.

He presented the three copies of the nomination forms to Mr Neham Charwelton, Constituency Secretary with a bankers draft of GHC10,000.00 filing fee attached.

Mr Afotey Agbo asked the supporters to massively vote him as the parliamentary candidate for the fourth time in order not to lose the seat to the opposition New Patriotic Party.

He noted that he would not influence people against contesting him in the primaries, as he believed his good works would bear testimony of his capabilities.

The Regional Minister, who was accompanied by Alhaji Antiaye Tetteh, Kpone-Katamanso District Chief Executive, urged the members to vote for a leader with experience, who is very strong, respected, and have the voice to push for development in the Constituency.

According to him, not maintaining him would mean ongoing projects would not be continued and those that were yet to take off would also suffer.

"Am reminding you that 2016 election is not for boys but for men so vote massively to maintain me," he added.

Alhaji Abdulai Adams, NDC Kpone-Katamanso Constituency Chairman, thanked the MP for picking and filing of the nomination forms and asked him to caution his supporters against campaign of insults.
