Afriyie-Ankrah turns street fighter in Brazil?

Even before Ghanaians could demand accountability from the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, at the end of the Brazil 2014 World Cup as a result of his inconsistency with regards to the pecuniary aspect of the entire 2014 Mundial in Brazil, the sports minister has showcased what he has in stock for the people of this country, if they dare go on such tangent.

Mr. Afriyie-Ankrah, according to a report filed by The Ghanaians Times on Thursday, June 19, 2014, engaged a fan in punch-up during an entertainment section in Central Natal last Tuesday, when the latter attempted to whip the minister in line.

Although it has not been confirmed, the paper has it that the sports minister who appeared to have been electrified by the dancing dexterities of a group of some Ghanaian ladies at an Entertainment Centre in Central Natal, decided to “give them something small” for their efforts.

Horrified by the gesture, a fan (name withheld), who appears to be politically mindful, decides to take on Mr. Elvis Ankrah-Afriyie regarding his politically infantile exploit; but the portentous sports minister instead decided to engage the fan in a brawl.

“Unable to withstand the verbal assault, the Minister was said to have lost his temper and pounced on the aggressive fan only to be separated,” the Ghanaians Times report indicates.

However, the report has left pundits wondering whether the Minister is aware of the herculean task on the part of the Black Stars to justify why a proportion of the taxpayer’s money should be spent on them; if the dancing concert is what the sports minister should be concerned about.
