Ahmadiyya community appoints new Ameer

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ghana, has officially appointed Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, as the new Ameer and Missionary-in-charge to manage the affairs of the mission.

A statement issued in Accra by Ahmad N.Twumasi, Public Relations Officer and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Monday said Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Salih V, Supreme Head of the World wide Ahmadiyya community confirmed his appointment after serving as the acting Ameer, following the demise of Maulana (Dr) A. Wahab Adam in June.

Maulvi Salih before his appointment to the position of Acting Ameer, was the second Deputy to the mission.

Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih returned from UK after leading a high powered Ahmadi Muslim delegation to the 48th international Annual Conference of the world wide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in London, which saw the participation of thousands of Ahmadi Muslims from over 200 countries, including Ghana.
