Ahmadiyya students urged to promote image of the Religion

Ekumfi Essarkyir (C/R), Nov 30, GNA - Dr Imoro Braimah, Director, SPRING Programme, Department of Planning, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has advised students of Ahmadiyya institutions to lead exemplary lives for non-members of the religion to emulate.

Dr Braimah said it was important for Ahmadiyya students to promote the image of the religion by desisting from rioting, demonstrations and open confrontations with authorities and other unproductive activities which could make people see their faith Religion in bad light. Speaking with students of the T.I. Ahmadiyya Secondary School at Ekumfi Essarkyir in the Central Region, he said some people saw Islam as violent and charged them as students and scholars to erase the misconception.

He was at the school to assist in the drawing of a development plan initiated by Professor K A Andam, Vice Chancellor of KNUST and Chairman of the Board of Governors of the School.

Dr Braimah commended the school's Students Representative Council (SRC) for their support and urged them not to disappoint the Prof Andam. Mr Dimbie Mumuni Issah, Headmaster commended Prof. Andam for his untiring efforts to develop the school and praised Dr Braimah for accepting to help the school in drawing the plan.
