A retired Ghanaian born British military officer, Mr. Kwaku Ntim Twumasi believes the gruesome murder of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, a former key partner of investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas could be orchestrated by faceless politicians in the country.
"It could be a political strategy for some politicians; members of the opposition National Democratic Congress cannot be exempted", the Ex- milliary officer told reporters in Kumasi attended by Kwabena Danso-Dapaah
According to the Ejisu Constituency First Vice Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), the security agencies in Ghana must therefore take the matter up to investigate the unfortunate death of the member of the Tiger Eye PI and bring perpetrators to book.
"I want the security agencies to leave Hon. Kennedy Agyapong out of this case and direct attention and resource to investigate NDC people who are making noise all over", the outspoken chairman advised.
Meanwhile, the family of the murdered undercover journalist with Tiger Eye PI, Ahmed Hussein-Suale, is pleading with the Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to get to the bottom of the murder of their son.
In line with this, the CID has with the permission of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mr David Asante-Apeatu moved the investigation of the murder from Madina Police station to the National Headquarters of the CID.
This came to light when the Director – General of the CID, DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah and her team paid a visit to the bereaved family of late Hussein Suale Ahmed at the family house in Madina on Tuesday.
The visit was first to commiserate with the bereaved family and the wives, get first-hand information of the incident and the way forward
