Akaboha IV asked break away members to return

Gomoa Mozano, (C/R), Sept 5 GNA- Prophet Jeeba Fiifi Jehu-Appiah, the newly installed Akaboha IV (head) of the Musama Disco Christo Church (MDCC) has asked members who broke away to return and help build the church.

He said the church has gone through turbulent periods and needed reconciliation, peace and stability to restore her lost image. Addressing over 10,000 members to round off a seven-day Peace festival at Gomoa Mozano, Prophet Jehu-Appiah said the Musama Church was undergoing massive transformation with a desire to win more souls for Christ.

He noted that the Executive Council of the church in this regard has instituted measures to address social vices which impede development of the church.

According to him, the church would not entertain wrong doings, such as drunkenness and other anti social vices that are against the teaching of the Bible, the rules and regulations of the church from members. The Head of the MDCC urged the members to eschew greed, hatred, parochial interest and 'position scramble' that could cause divisions in the church.

He called for an environment of cooperation, unity and understanding which the church needs to undertake development programmes to enhance the living conditions of the members.

Nana Obokomatta V, Chief of Gomoa Dasum, who chaired the function, called for accountability, probity and transparency in the MDCC. He said the MDCC has opened a 'new page in her life' which would go a long way to sustain the peace, unity and stability needed to ensure the growth of the church.

Nana Obokomatta said the church was yet to see fresh spiritual growth 'and this would depend on how members cherish love, peace and togetherness'.

He donated 3,000 Ghana Cedis in a fund raising harvest organized by the church in aid of development projects.
