The Akoase Development Association (ADA) in Accra, with support from Osaberima Gyasi Boateng Aduako II, Chief of the community will provide nurses quarters and a modern police station for the community to complement government's efforts.

Mr Maxwell Adu- Gyemfi, the Chairman of the Association gave the assurance during a fundraising ceremony held at Akoase in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region.

He said it was about time citizens of Akoase united to execute development projects for the community after the longstanding chieftaincy disputes that left the community deprived.

Mr Adu- Gyemfi assured that he would revive the branches of the association in other major cities in the country to ensure more members were on board to speed up development projects in the town.

He said the association also planned to construct a boys' dormitory for the St. Michael's Senior High School (SHS), the only SHS in the area and a community centre and therefore called on other citizens, home and abroad to join the association to extend development to the area.

Osaberima Gyasi Boateng Aduako II, called on the Birim North District Assembly to support the development of the town, by tarring all accessible roads in the community and to upgrade the health centre in the area.

He therefore called on investors to partner the government's 'One District, One Factory' programme to establish companies in the area to help create employment for the youth.

Osaberima Aduako II assured of his readiness to avail lands to the government to carry out development projects in the community.
