The Okpekpewuokpe Akpinifia Dagadu IX, on behalf of the Chiefs, Queen Mothers, and Elders of the Akpini Traditional Area, has congratulated former Minister of Interior, Prosper Douglas Bani, on his appointment as head of the Interim National Security Team.

In a press statement, the Akpini Paramountcy expressed their sincere gratitude to President-elect John Dramani Mahama for recognising a distinguished son of the land.

"At this crucial time in the history of our country, to lead National security is a daunting task, but we have every confidence in the abilities of Hon. Prosper Bani to provide effective and efficient leadership. His calm demeanor whiles getting the job done is a trait that has served him well in navigating many challenging circumstances and I believe he will bring that to bear in his new role", the statement read.

The Akpini Traditional Area expressed their hope for continued collaboration and opportunities under the President-elect's administration.

"Once again congratulations, the people of Kpando are proud of you and we look forward to more opportunities in the John Mahama government", it concluded.
