Akropong (B/A), July 3, The people of Akropong in the Nkoranza District have, through their own efforts, built a community clinic estimated at 3.5 million cedis. Commissioning it on behalf of the District Director of Health Services, the Nkoranza District health information education and communication coordinator, Mr. Kwaku Kyeremeh-Ampaabeng, commended the people for their communal labour and self-help spirit. He urged them not to relent in their efforts but initiate more projects to enable them to attract support from the government and other non-governmental organisations. He stressed the need for the people to keep their environment clean to prevent the spread of communicable diseases such as cholera. He advised the people to embrace the family planning programme.
