The Finance Minister, Mr Ken Ofori-Atta, will on Wednesday present the 2018 Budget and Economic Policy of the government to Parliament, in which he will be seeking approval to spend some GH¢61 billion.

The amount which is needed to anchor the government’s agenda of moving the economy beyond the reliance on foreign support or aid, according to Madam Akua Donkor was needless.

Madam Akua Donkor who spoke in an exclusive interview with www.ghanacrusader.com indicated that, the said amount was too much and the government must rather be more concern over the needs of the entire nation and not for a selfish interest.

According to her, the budget should rather reflect high reduction on the prices of products instead of seeking other means to squander state money.

Speaking to www.ghanacrusader.com, Leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) added that, “the spending of state money was too much, today government has spent this, tomorrow, government is doing this, all in the name of taxpayers money, is too much.”

“What I want to hear and see happening is that, the reduction of the electricity tariff, he promised in the budget becomes reality.”

According to the outspoken woman, what was killing her most is the digital address system, she said, “I can’t read or write, so if you say, I should use mobile phone to get my address, how can I do that, then you want to kill me and my other mates as well.”

“We used to give directions to people with either our mouth or hands, even sometimes trees and people are able to locate that.”

“ I have even issued a letter to him to change his mind on that because Ghanaians can’t take that, you want to compare yourself with the white people meanwhile you are black.”

“We are okay with what we have been using to give directions to people.”

According to her, President Akufo-Addo must find means of sacking all the Chinese people from taking over the mining sector and as well as refusing loans from their government.
