Akuapem Anaafoo gets new Chief

Aburi (E/R), Nov 30, GNA - Nana Obuobi Aduamah III, the newly en-stooled Aduanahene of Akuapem Anaafoo, on Tuesday called on chiefs, sub-chiefs and parents in the Akuapem Traditional Area to invest their income on their children's education.

Nana Aduamah, who spoke in an interview with the Ghana News Agency on the occasion of his enstoolment at Aburi, declared that his inspiration and objective for the acceptance of the position was to help create job opportunities for the youth of Akuapeman and the nation as a whole. Nana Aduamah who is also Osiahene or King-maker of Akuapem Anaafoo, expressed his determination to help to improve the standards of education in the area since the government alone could not take these responsibilities. He said he would see to it that unity would prevail among the Aduana/Abrade clan to create a conducive environment for the development of Akuapeman.

Nana Aduamah said he would help provide school structures and also see to the improvement of health delivery to the people by providing clinics and other essential facilities.

The new Aduanahene also promised to support the people to keep their environment clean and green.

He later swore the oath of allegiance to Otoobour Nana Djan Kwasi II, Aburihene and Omanhene of Akuapem Anafo.

Otoobour Nana Kwasi II called on the newly-enstooled kingmaker, the chiefs and sub-chiefs of the area to stay united in order to bring development to the area and to uplift the name of Akuapem Anafo. 30 Nov 10
