Given his moral record, a vote for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will be a vote against corruption in the country, the Eastern Regional Communications Officer of the NPP, David Prah, has said.

According to him, if Mr. Akufo-Addo is voted for to become the next president of Ghana, he will harness the full resources of the country with openness and accountability to better the lot of Ghanaians.

In a statement to thank Ghanaians for supporting the three-time presidential aspirant of the NPP during his tour of the region last week, David Prah said: “Ghana is at the junction of determining its future for the youth and all our people. Voting for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP will be the right decision and turn for the nation.

A vote for Akufo-Addo will be a vote against corruption, mismanagement, ill-governance, and avarice. It will be a vote for a positive future or true transformation for real growth and development of our people.

“We note with humility and gratitude the readiness and warmth with which the people accepted and found very feasible, Nana Akufo-Addo's ‘One District, One Factory’ policy that will help propel the region and the nation into industrialisation.

We also note the enthusiasm expressed by all for the various other policies he put forward to be implemented from 2017 when the NPP forms its government.”

The statement added: “The show of support and your massive attendance has sent a strong signal to the country that the Eastern Region is ready for a change.”
