Akufo-Addo Ends Upper East Tour

Nana Akufo-Addo, who is campaigning for the August 7 nomination as the 2012 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party has successfully concluded his tour of the Upper East Region. The tour, which covered the period from 23rd June to 30th June, 2010, was marked by the usual mass endorsements from most Polling Station Executives, Constituency Chairmen and Members of Parliament from the Region.**

All four NPP Members of Parliament in the Region i.e Hon. Adamu Dramani of Bawku Central, Hon. Kofi Adda of Navrongo Central, Hon. Stephen Yakubu of Binduri and Hon. Leo Kabah of Paga Chiana threw their weight behind Nana Akufo-Addo and publicly endorsed and campaigned for him, citing reasons of Akufo-Addo’s experience, many years of unwavering commitment to the party and its tradition, an already marketed candidate and the one who is best placed to win back power for the NPP in 2012. The Members of Parliament also noted the fact that as leaders of their constituencies they were also reflecting the overwhelming sentiments and voices of their constituents in ensuring the repeat of Nana Akufo-Addo is the flag bearer of the Party.

Nana Akufo-Addo’s Victory 2012 Campaign Team wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to all four Members of Parliament, Regional, Constituency and Polling Station Executives and Electoral Area coordinators for their support and endorsements.

We also wish to thank all delegates for coming to meet with us in all constituencies and endorsing Nana Akufo-Addo’s message of hope. Nana Akufo-Addo is confident, that the expansion of the Electoral College of our party, to include all polling station executives was a much needed transformation that is already strengthening and energising our party’s base to help us win the votes of the great majority of the Ghanaian people in 2012. Nana Akufo-Addo’s Victory 2012 Campaign has since moved to the Northern Region and completed visits to Bunkprugu/Yunyoo and Nalerigu/Gambaga constituencies. These will be followed by visits to Walewale on Thursday, July 1st and to Mion and the three Tamale Constituencies on Friday, 2nd July 2010.
