Akufo-Addo Sends Emissaries To The Hague

To Beg On Ken Agyapong’s Behalf Ursula Owusu, Sammy Awuku To Lead Talks

Intelligence Desk Report

Following the Fifty (50) years jail sentence handed down the Former Liberia’s President, Mr. Charles Ghankay Taylor, by the UN-backed war crimes court, insider information picked up by The Informer has it that, the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Mr. Williams Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has dispatched envoys to The Hague to beg on behalf of his warlord, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.

Sensing the danger associated with the reckless pronouncements by the Assin North MP should the International Criminal Court (ICC) decides to act on the petition sent it by a group from Ghana and as well, heed the calls to take over the Kennedy Agyapong trial, Akufo-Addo, according to this paper’s source, has avowed to save his warlord following lessons drawn from the Charles Taylor trial.

As a result, the NPP flagbearer, according to our credible insider source, has tasked his lover, Ursula Owusu and Sammy Awuku, the party’s deputy communication director, to do the magic on his behalf, so as to ensure that his warlord, Kennedy Agyapong, does not receive the attention by the ICC as many like-minded Ghanaians have wished, and since been yarning to have him arranged before the ICC.

“My brother, I am not surprised at all, that Nana Addo has asked Ursula and Sammy Awuku to go and beg on Kennedy Agyapong’s behalf, because, he feels very scandalised by the stony silence of the Assin North MP, who until his case was working in his interest with his constant critics of government, even though, some of his pronouncements was becoming problematic to the party”, the source added.

“Most party leaders, particularly, the ex-President Kufuor faction who have expressed dissatisfaction about the conduct of Kennedy Agyapong, especially his use of vulgar language on air, did not endorse the move, but decided to let it go since Nana Addo had refused to consult them for advice and direction”, he hinted.

“I am very optimistic that Ursula and Sammy will fail, due to the gravity of what Kennedy Agyapong has done; by declaring war on Ghana and most seriously, calling for the extermination of Ewes and Gas, an act that the ICC frowns on”, the source pointed out, and advises Akufo Addo not to waste his resources, but allow Kennedy Agyapong to face the rigors of his action.

However, credible information available to this paper has it that, Sammy Awuku will leave the shores of Ghana before the end of this week to Hague to be joined later by Ursula Owusu, who currently is out of town to start the mediation exercise to save Kennedy Agyapong from coming under the spectacle of the ICC. Information further stated that, ever since a group from Ghana petitioned the International Criminal Court (ICC) through its Chief Prosecutor, Mr. Luis Moreno-Ocampo, to take over the trial of the foul-mouthed Assin North MP, for declaring WAR” in Ghana and calling for the extermination of Ewes and Gas, the leadership of the NPP, particularly, Nana Akufo-Addo, have been experiencing sleepless nights.

It would be recalled that, Mr. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong having gotten away with his recklessness over the years, met his waterloo when on his own Oman FM radio station, he declared “WAR” in Ghana, and went ahead to beat a “GENOCIDAL” war-drum, asking Ashantis to kill Ewes and Gas resident in the Ashanti Region. Apart from his criminal war cum genocidal cries, the Akufo-Addo’s warlord also reaffirmed his call for NPP militants to lynch police and military personnel. The above conduct of Kennedy Agyapong necessitated the decision by the Ghana Coalition for the International Criminal Court on April 25, 2012, to institute an action against him, calling on the ICC though Mr. Luis Moreno-Ocampo, its Chief Prosecutor, to take over the matter in pursuant to Article I5 of the Rome Statute of the ICC.

The Assin North MP has since been charged and is currently standing trial for terrorism, genocide, etc, which today has caused Charles Taylor a sentenced of 50 years’ imprisonment.
