Akufo-Addo abandons Presidency; doing PR for hooligans – Kofi Adams

President Nana Akufo-Addo President Nana Akufo-Addo

The National Organizer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams says President Akufo-Addo’s administration has plunged Ghana into dark days, insisting that his pontificating and sermonizing is not serving any public good.

For him, the President’s alacrity to jump onto issues and put up defence for all manner of wrongdoings has literally made him a spokesperson for unscrupulous persons perpetrating evil under his government.

“The President should be truthful to us. After all, it was a reasonable question posed to him at his Press conference as to whether the Presidency has tamed him or not because he was wild and now his soft stance on social ills is killing the country. He’s now giving tacit protection for corrupt persons, Delta Force and the rest, turning himself to spokesperson for those perpetrating such acts.”

Adams said Mr. Akufo-Addo’s inability to show leadership in curbing the ills abounding under his regime shows he’s failed Ghanaians even in his first six months in office.

According to him, the ruling NPP has failed on many fronts since it assumed office in January 7.

The comments come on the back of the opposition NDC’s press conference with Journalists in Accra Thursday in response to the President’s maiden Press encounter this week.

Speaking on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM, Mr. Adams said the Akufo-Addo Presidency has brought into focus just how incompetent the NPP are in terms of governance.
