Akufo-Addo consoles Annor Dompreh

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's popularity in Nsawam - Adoagyiri became manifest over the weekend when he visited the area to attend the funeral of the father of Hon. Frank Annor Dompreh, Member of Parliament of the area; Chief Inspector Joseph Wilson Kofi Annor [RTD].

The emergence of the former NPP flag-bearer and his entourage at the funeral of the late member of the Busia Administration and Retired Police Chief Inspector sent the mourners into an ecstatic mood.

The mourners, most of whom wore black clothes, holding NPP paraphernalia, showered praises on Nana Addo when he stormed the Funeral grounds with the blazing party tunes swiftly turning the funeral into a carnival, as some started chanting '' NO Nana, No Vote''.

The two-time NPP flagbearer was accompanied by Hon, Yaw Osafo Marfo, former Finance Minister, Mr. Sammy Awuku, the NPP National Youth Organizer, Hon. Samuel Atta Kyea, MP for Abuakwa South, among other prominent members of the party.

Also in attendance was a delegation from the Ghana Police Service and the National Democratic Party.

The late Chief Inspector Jospeh Annoh - RTD was born on 16th April, 1943 at Marfokrom in the Kraboa Coaltar of the Eastern Region, and died at the age of 71. He left behind a widow, eleven children and twenty grandchildren.

The late Police Inspector, after his education, worked as a typist apprentice at the Ghana Railway Corporation in Tarkoradi until 1964, when he was enlisted in the Ghana Police Service on 1st June, 1964, and subsequently served in various capacities in the Eastern and Brong Ahafo regions.
