Akufo-Addo deserves the noble peace prize

Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus Glover, Member of Parliament for Tema East has applauded Nana Akufo-Addo for his democratic feat, craving for him to be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize.

The Tema East MP of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) commended him for resorting to the law court to make his case about the allegations leveled against President John Mahama and the Electoral Commission regarding last year’s December 7 polls.

According to him, Nana Addo has set the pace for Africa’s democracy to take another dimension.

He explained that, Nana Addo set the example for the Kenyan defeated Presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, to proceed to court to challenge the legitimacy of the country’s President, Uhuru Kenyatta.

After identifying some irregularities in the Presidential results during the polls, Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, his Running mate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and National Chairman of the party, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, headed to the Supreme Court to challenge the declaration by Dr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan, EC Chairman, which saw President Mahama emerge as winner in the general elections.

The three NPP leaders filed a petition at the court in the hope that the declaration is overturned in favour of the party’s flagbearer.

This, according to the Tema East MP, shows that “Nana Akufo-Addo has set the pace of democracy in this country Ghana and across the world, he deserves a Nobel Peace Prize Award…Akufo-Addo has given us the cure. He has walked the talk.”

To him, Nana Addo is the “competent driver to steer the affairs of this country.”
