Akufo-Addo eulogizes Prof 'Do-Little' Mills

The death of Ghana’s President, John Evans Atta Mills, a year ago, did shock the entire populace because it is an unusual event to occur in the annals of the country’s political history for a president to die whiles in office.

Tuesday, July 24, 2012 started as a normal day for most Ghanaians with the usual hustle and bustle at every facet of the life until news broke out about the death of Professor John Evens Atta Mills.

And it was not unusual to witness political foes eulogizing him, and on Wednesday July 24, 2013, a year after the Professor’s death, they still do say positive things about his person. The 2012 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, his closest challenger when it came to elections, was no exception.

On his Facebook wall on Wednesday, the NPP Flagbearer again had some comforting words for Mrs Naadu Mills, wife of the late President Mills, as well as the family of the late president.

“As we observe the first anniversary of the passing of President John Atta Mills, I extend best wishes to his wife and family. May his (Prof Mills) memory help to make all Ghanaians resolve to work to make Ghana a better place.

May his soul continue to find peace with the Almighty,” Nana Addo wrote on his facebook wall.
