Akufo-Addo has nothing new to offer beyond four years - Mahama

Former president John Dramani Mahama has taken a dig at the governing New Patriotic Party and President Nana Akufo-Addo.

According to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, Nana Addo has nothing more and new to offer Ghanaians beyond his four-year mandate.

“Don’t expect anything better than what they’ve done. The onus lies on you to vote with your conscience in this year’s election,” Mr. Mahama told the chiefs and people of the Asutifi South Constituency of the Ahafo Region during his Speakout tour.

The NDC leader further told the gathering that the policies and programs of the Akufo-Addo led government are bound to fail and cannot stand the test of time.

He, therefore, urged the people and Ghanaians in general to vote out President Akufo-Addo in the December 2020 polls.

“God created darkness for a reason, so that we can all see the benefits of light. Today we’ve seen the importance of light. All the promises of the NPP in 2016 have turned out to be a sham.” John Mahama added that: “ [the NPP] were thinking four years will never come. In fact they cannot do anything meaningful beyond what they’ve done.”

Meanwhile, President Nana Akufo-Addo is also praying Ghanaians to give the NPP government four more years to continue with the good things they are doing.

Nana Addo is also convinced the programmes and policies his government want to undertake would revive the Ghanaian economy, improve the health and social wellbeing of citizens.

The governing NPP has declined the debate challenge between Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NDC MP, saying the legislator is unfit to engage the Veep in a debate on economics.

According to NPP Communicator, Maame Yaa Aboagye, Dr. Bawumia is busy fixing the chaos and mess created by the Mahama-led administration.
